Yeah I think you have to set up your own time. I don't know how much the GT-8 costs but I do know that the DS-1 (Orange Distortion) is about 40 bucks (Depending on where you get it)

Oh well if you want a cheaper pedal look for a GT-3 or 5 on craigslist. I found a GT-3 for 200$ but I didn't get it. Or just go to the store and buy the certain pedal you want (Distortion, Wah, Whammy etc.)

but you can change things over time....new pedals different connections yada yada yada but those multi effects bords are cool its just a big investment upfront and i dont have that cing of money i just want to buy a pedal at a time over time

Yeah I mean, a good delay pedal alone can cost up to 100 bucks. Then you're gonna need the necessities like Distortion, I consider Reverb a must have, maybe a overdrive, then if you want wah, thats another 100-150 bucks.

I would go with a Boss multi pedal. The octave switching isn't amazing (Sounds bad on 24+) but everything else is pretty nice.
